Drugstore Purchase Product Reviews

I went to the drugstore and bought a few things about a month ago and wanted to give these products a try before doing a review.

L'OREAL Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer: I didn't really like using this product as a primer because I found it made my face look "flashy" rather then dewy. Instead I use it as a highlighter on my cheek bones and nose. I like this product but I probably will not be purchasing it again

Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark Circle Roller: I use this product everyday as an under eye concealer. It has a light coverage and I don't have much dark spots under my eyes so it does the job. Just make sure to blend it in well otherwise it creases. I will be purchasing this product again.

Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Airbrushing Bronzer: I don't really like this product. It was pretty pricey for a drugstore product (around $19). And the colour comes off kind of orange. I'm hoping I will be able to use it more in the summer.

Lush Haul!

Every time I go into Lush I always leave with a gift for myself. Come on we have to spoil ourselves sometimes! I usually stick with the sweet smelling bubble bars and bath bombs but I thought I would try something a little different. I bought the "Hello Gorgeous" gift. I Love this gift box. This kit was $39.95

What the box includes:
Gorgeous facial moisture: Mild scent with a soft creamy texture.
Sakura Bath bomb: Smells fresh and mildly sweet
Lemony Flutter cuticle butter: Lemon scent and soft texture
Rub Rub Rub shower scrub: Made with sea salt and has a light fresh scent
The Comforter bubble bar: Sweet candy like smell. I pick this up every time I go into Lush. Its super bubbly and I love the smell
Vanilla Dee-Lite body lotion: Mild vanilla scent that makes your body feel so soft. My favourite out of the whole gift box.
I also picked up the Bubblegum lip scrub. It smells like bubblegum obviously and makes your lips super soft after using it and it tastes good too!

Another product I picked up a couple of months ago is the Sweetie Pie Shower Jelly. This thing is so cool! It smells amazing and its looks and feels like jello. It lasts a really long time. You just need to take a small piece and work it into a sponge and it gets so bubbly.

Real Techniques Brushes Review

So after watching numerous YouTube videos and seeing what kind of brushes the beauty gurus have been using I noticed a lot of them have been using the Real Techniques. I was browsing Wal-Mart and came across these two brush set and I wanted to try them out.

This is the core collection set. It comes with 4 different brushes
  • Detailer brush: I have been using this for eye shadow under my lower lash line.
  • Pointed foundation brush: I actually haven't used this brush yet because I'm not a fan of flat foundation brushes but I'm going to try it out soon.
  • Buffing brush: I use this to apply my setting powder. Its so soft!
  • Contour brush: I have been using this to apply my liquid foundation and to contour sometimes.
  •  Brush case: Awesome for travelling.

  • This set was $20 and they are very good quality. I suggest you check these brushes out!

This is the starter set. It comes with 5 different brushes

  • Deluxe crease brush: I use this for contouring and blending out eye shadow.
  •  Accent brush: I use this brush to apply eye shadow under my lower lash line.
  •  Pixel-point eyeliner brush: I use this brush to apply a highlight in my tear duct area.
  •  Brow brush: I use this brush to fill in my eye brows.
  • Base shadow brush: I use this brush to blend out my eye shadow.
  • Brush case: Awesome for travelling.

  • This set was $20 and they are very good quality. Awesome set for people just starting out with make-up.

Overall these sets were very good quality, affordable and so soft. They are super easy to clean and super cute. I suggest checking them out!

    Make Up Forever HD Foundation

Ladies! I have finally found the best foundation ever. After reading numerous reviews on this foundation I finally gave in. I went to Sephora and one of the girls colour matched me. I cant believe how amazing the finish is. My skin looks flawless after applying the foundation. It is pretty pricey but I only use one tiny pump so it will last me a long time. It was $46 at Sephora. I was hesitant to buy it because it was pricey but I really wanted to try it. I highly recommend this!

Almay Smart Shade Smart Balance Powder Review

I recently purchased this powder because I wanted to try something new and convenient to throw in my purse. I seen this and thought it looked pretty interesting. I havent read any reviews on this product so im not really sure what other people think of it but I like it. This powder works great with my sensitive skin. It doesn't dry my skin out and I think it matches with my skin. It was around $12 at the drugstore. Check it out ladies.
